THE LAST LEGEND
Craig is the oldest elephant in the Amboseli ecosystem and a beautiful big tusker. He is under protection from poachers round the clock and a special symbol of their plight as one of the few remaining elephants with tusks weighing 100 lbs each. I had the pleasure of spending a morning with this gentle giant during March 2024 as he grazed in the bush on an adjacent conservatory to Amboseli National Park. It was a special morning for my clients and I and one that we’ll forever cherish for being so close to this living legend.
HIDEAWAY
A perfect nightly sanctuary for twenty honu (sea turtles) in this sea cave on Maui. Of all of the places that I have visited on the Hawaiian islands, this is my absolute favorite. A hidden retreat and a place I will only visit once.
WILD HEART
The weather systems that swirl around in Torres del Paine are some of the wildest that I have ever encountered. The clouds that form around these carved mountain peaks often create such dramatic and unusual scenes and are truly a photographer’s dream. We had seen horses on the plains numerous times on our trip, but never in the prefect spot like they were here. Prompting us to put on the brakes for one final farewell shot. This was the last photograph that I took on my trip to Patagonia in April 2022.
MANAROLA STORM
This quintessential town on the Italian coast was evacuated for a winter storm when we arrived. No businesses were open and our AirBnB host failed to mention this to us. Sure it was drizzling a little bit and the clouds here looked ominous, but it seemed like an overreaction. Nevertheless we were happy to have this entire little town all to ourselves for a night.
